Job Description Of Software Engineering Intern:
At Red Hat, our interns are an integral part of the team. They don’t get relegated to busywork or unimportant tasks, but participate in the day-to-day work and are active contributors to their team.
We are currently looking for Software Engineering interns to join us in Pune, India.
During this internship, you will be a part of the Salesforce Support T eam, working to proactively partner with internal customers to resolve issues and demonstrate value to them by troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
The focus for Red Hat’s Intern Program is a dual partnership between the Emerging Talent Team, and our intern managers. We can offer you professional development, social engagement and networking, performance and development, and meaningful work at Red Hat.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by proactively managing issues throughout the ticket lifecycle, ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Follow established ticket support processes and procedures
- Gain hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Components
- Participate in reviewing, debugging, and resolving issues with new or existing code
- Document testing performed, results, issue recreation, and the next planned steps.
- Collaborate with team members and leaders to turn findings into actionable improvements.
- Translate key findings into visualized presentations
- Network with other talented interns
Required Skills:
- Good written and spoken English
- Good understanding of Salesforce, SQL, Python, Git and other technologies
- Strong organizational and logistical skills, and familiarity with data science concepts
- Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally
- Willingness to learn and proactively work as a part of a wider team
- Able to commit 6-month duration during internship from Jan – July 2026
