Responsibilities of the Candidate:
Create component detail drawings and bills of materials for centrifugal compressors that include components such as bearings, seals, stationary, and rotating components, as applicable to the specific product line
Detail drawings/models utilizing correct and economical methods of manufacturing machined and fabricated parts. Ensure Form, Fit, and Function logic is followed. Ensure mating parts are considered before releasing to production
Utilize the correct method of dimensioning in compliance with drafting standard
Self-check for accuracy of all drawings, layouts, and bills of material
Check vendor drawings as required
Assist factory inspector and Product Design Engineer in disposition of non-conformances of parts
Participate in Process Improvement
Understand and incorporate basic specs, standards, and design criteria provided
Requirements:
Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
High attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and individually with the same enthusiasm and intensity
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
Possess and demonstrate a high degree of tact and professionalism; and be capable of interacting with Management, Peers, Shop Personnel, Inside Sales, and SCM
Good organizational and time management skills
Solid computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic 2D/3D CAD
